IMPORTANT UPDATE:
New program for spring starting Monday March 31st. and Friday, April 4th, for 6 weeks.
There will be a CanSkate and an introduction to figure skating program. Cost $ 125 for one day or $ 200 for both days. Taught by Skate Canada certified coaches. CanSkate lessons from 5:30PM to 6:15PM and intro from 6:15PM to 7:00PM. Registration due by march 20th. 2008. Location: Tom Graham Arena in Richmond Hill for Monday sessions on the green pad. And the Friday lessons start at Elgin Barrow West, April 4th. and 11th. 2008, and then switch to Tom Graham Arena on April 25th.
Please note: There are no lessons on Friday April 18th. Monday April 21st.and Monday April 28th.
A learn-to-skate program offered by Skate Canada. Basic skating skills are taught in a small group setting by professionally certified Coaches. Badges are awarded as skaters master the fundamental skating skills.
Must be 4 years of age by Dec. 2007.
Gloves/mitts and CSA approved helmets are mandatory

INTRO TO FIGURE SKATING
A new program designed for skaters who are interested in continuing on in Figure Skating and into the STARSkate program. Half hour group lessons are included to work on various skating elements – Spins, Jumps, Dances, Edges and Turns. Badges will be awarded as stages are completed. A 15 minute stroking session is included and then 15 minutes for private or semi-private lessons with one of our coaches. Must have passed Stage 5 or by a coach’s recommendation.

The STARSkate program offers skaters the opportunity to develop figure skating skills in the areas of Dance, Skills, Freeskate or Interpretive skating. They also have the opportunity to take part in the Skate Canada Testing program. Must have passed Stage 7. 15 minute group stroking is included. Private or semi-private lessons to be arranged with one of our coaches.

A Skate Canada program designed to improve balance, power, speed, and agility for hockey and ringette players. Taught by qualified coaches. Must have Pre-Power Level C, CanSkate Stage 4 or equivalent.

Pre-Power
For skaters who can skate forward, backward and stop. Hockey helmet with cage, gloves and hockey stick are mandatory.

Skater’s skills may be enhanced by skating more than once per week or by taking private or semi-private lessons. Arrangements can be made with one of our qualified coaches.
